OK so they're
not all cars but Singer did start by making cycles, then motor-cycles,
before moving on to cars in 1905. The most famous rider of a
Singer cycle was Kate Sheppard, the women's rights campaigner.
In 1912 The Singer Ten was introduced, the first real car in
miniature. It was a major success winning races at Brooklands,
Trials and many sales orders. This example is the oldest known
Singer car in NZ and dates from the first 12 months of production.
The club has several pre WW1 cars amongst its members' vehicles
